Drop Chrono Calculator is an accurate and very easy to use chronograph for bows, crossbows, airguns, and small
caliber arms. It uses simple physics principles in order to determine the muzzle velocity of a projectile, using only the distance to the target and the resulting bullet drop.
First set your measurement units and the enter both values into Drop Chrono and your velocity will be displayed on screen. Save your data to a database and keep track of average velocity and the highest or lowest values as well.
What is important is to properly setup the firing range. The point on the target that the drop value is measured from must be perfectly straight from the barrel of the gun. Many methods can be used to mark this position on the target including the use of a laser boresight.
